Emilio's Italian dishes are splendid. The pasta with pesto is my favorite, and it is perfect here, best. I am not a fan of veal but here it is so thin and well prepared, and the sauces are flavorful and light. The fish specials are fresh and the pasta with squid ink was a hit at our table.

One could not ask for friendlier, more welcoming staff. The host, our server, and every single other server made us feel as if we were the only people in the restaurant. This can be a rarity for such a restaurant that is in a more touristy, upscale area. I ordered clam linguine with a white sauce and the sauce was unbelievably rich and delicious. The clams were fresh. The wine was decent and not too overpriced.

For me the best italian food in the area. The best pasta in town!!! Ask for Romo he is the best!!!

This restaurant is a gem. If you're staying at the DaddyO Hotel...forget about "the Palm Restaurant". Take the two minutes to walk across the street where Emilio himself could be greeting you to one of the best meals you'll have on Miami Beach. The service is extraordinary. We had Yoni as our server and he took great care of us. We left feeling like princesses! It was mine and my good friends last meal of our stay here in Miami. The food was delicious. From the fresh baked bread to the homemade pastas. Must have the Chocolate soufflé. TO DIE FOR!! A must go for sure.

Great food overall, but service is honestly a zero. Server kept telling us that the mistakes were because they were busy... Let me tell you something, they won't have that problem if the service doesn't improve. Maitre D was a great guy also, just need to get their act together.

I honestly have no words for this place. When I first entered the restaurant, I was welcomed warmly by the maitre'd/ owner. To start off, our waiter Franco was excellent. The bread was fresh and soft, and was accompanied with olive oil & vinegar. For appetizer, my table shared a Caesar salad & the Green salad with avocados. Delicious. Now for the best part, the main course. The four of us split a pasta that was a thick yellow pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil. I personally had the veal picatta, NO WORDS. It was the best veal I have had in America. I am personally Italian, so back in homeland their is no comparison. But to this place, it is almost as good as being back home. My mother got the Seabass with risotto on the side. I personally liked her plate better than mine!!!!! The seabass was so light and tender and buttery, it was divine. The risotto was perfect. The dessert was alright, but there is nothing compared to their main courses!!! I will definitely be back here again :)

We had the Black Linguine with Seafood, Lasagna and Stuffed Veal Chop. Everything was wonderful including the service and atmosphere.

Really quite perfect for a local restaurant. It was my first time there, and the host acted like we were his favorite customers. The service was impeccable. The chicken piccata was light and flavorful. The crowd was a little old, but we were there at 7:00, so I guess that can be expected. I look forward to becoming a regular at this spot -- as service, food and atmosphere deliver.

Absolutely no complaints. Spaghetti Bolognese was among the best I've had anywhere and the veal picatta was tender and perfectly seasoned. My wife and I split the caprese salad with the freshest mozzarella ever. And the desserts were equally tasty. You can't go wrong with this nice neighborhood Italian restaurant. Two glasses of wine, salad, two entrees and two desserts for $94? Where will you find that in South Beach?

I am a native New Yorker- born and raised on the upper east side so I am very picky and I'm a foodie. The food here was awesome! We had the antipasto for 2, the carpaccio di manzo, the risotto di porcini and my husband had the Chilean sea bass special. Everything was fresh, tasty and well cooked. The service was great , note we went on a random Wednesday night but still our server was attentive and very nice and we had a 20 month old with us. We sat outside ( only people out there) and we still felt like the waiter never forgot about us. Check this place out. Note they don't serve hard liqour.

I went there twice and I ate extremely well! I can't wait to go back again tonight!! The people were extremely nice and everybody I know loves the place and the service. In no way, shape or form did I feel like like "I was nothing". They were actually extremely nice and we were well served. Methinks somebody is on a smear campaign because Emilio's is stealing business from the restaurant in front (not saying names!).

The food is good, but it is kind of pricy. It costed us $140 tip and tax included for a party of three.

This is a newly opened restaurant but the owners used to run Cafe Ragazzi. It was my mom and sister's second dinner here. Help was really nice, which is always a plus, as was decor. The bread was decent. I ordered a house made pasta with porcini mushrooms in truffle oil which came way after the other two plates came out but I do have to say that our waiter seemed upset about that. My pasta was very good if not evenly cooked. Very pleasant flavor. Truffle oil really came through and the mushrooms we tender and tasty. My mom ordered the exact same item she did the first time around which was a black risotto she raved about. My sister ordered a lamb osso bucco (I didn't even know there was such a thing!) but they were out of it so she went for the more traditional veal version which came with a saffron risotto. She loved it and you could definitely tell they did not skimp on the saffron. My mom was convinced that service got much better after they saw us taking pictures but I don't know about that. She also wanted me to give them five stars but I figure I'll let her get her own yelp account and rate her own ;-)

Opening Night of an excellent place ...... "Emilio's Trattoria" . The complementary wine, the food and the vibe were great. Must try the risotto , it was the best ! We all were gladly greeted and served by his owner Emilio and his amazing staff. There is a valet in Front for $5, or you can park wherever there is a meter available. Great Little Place in Bay Harbor!!

I have to report that this was one of the most memorable experiences I had all yr I never leave a bad review on someone's livelihood but this place is amazing and it's the same owners that had a great never a bad meal regatteis witch we all use to go to when we wanted a good meal or to impress , now we get in the place is totally empty and for good reason 1st I ordered the $20 artichoke it was so over cooked and bland like maybe it was yesterday's fridge tasting anyway I didn't say anything I just didn't eat it , then I had the $40 Mediterranean Sea bass that was so small and dryed out they even put the tail on the plate to make it look bigger but when I bit into it .. Omg I said to the servers that I could not eat it that it was old or something was wrong so I didn't eat it and asked for the bill the little guy who I remember from the old place came over and said no worries I only charged you $30 instead of $40 ... I laughs and paid the bill .. Left with the feeling that I just got robbed

The ingredients are fresh and best quality. A simple small place - not much ambience but great food and service. My husband ordered the grilled octopus appetizer and it was huge -said best he ever had. We also had sea bass and my son had the veal parm. I was sad I didn't have another portion to take for lunch it was all so yummy. Even better they had a yelp 10% savings for check_in.

I am glad I gave this place a second try. I had a different waiter and the result was speedy food delivery. The food has always been excellent. I especially love their 3 course lunch special with a choice of soup or salad and dessert. It's around $20 but totally worth it. I highly recommend this place for Italian food lovers. Food tastes like being in Florence, Italy..

This place was delicious! The pasta was so good and cooked perfectly al dente. Everyone at this place was super pleasant. I highly recommend anything with the burratina in it.

My husband and I love this place. We initially came because my husband's office is upstairs and his best buddy (who is in the same office) has raved about it. Turns out the chef was the chef of Giacosa in the Gables, which was my favorite restaurant for years! I was so happy to find he was back at it. I am a huge foodie, and I lived in Italy for a short time, and let me tell you, this is a great place. In addition to the wonderful food, the ambiance and service are just stellar. I've also brought my father and he just loved it. I wish there were more restaurants like this in Miami.

Wow wow wow. It's not often that I do get to enjoy a meal as much as I did in this restaurant. Me and my girlfriend are constantly looking for new restaurants ( which in Miami isn't hard ) and not often do we find a place in which we can check off all the boxes (which in Miami IS hard ) . Great food ? CHECK! Ambiance ? CHECK Friendly and great service ? CHECK Value ? CHECKITY CHECK CHECK! Our server Juan Carlos was thorough, attentive, friendly, and made sure we had a great meal without being the least pushy or interrupting us. He was very patient with us as we took our sweet time going through the menu and deciding. He suggested a few of the dishes and my girlfriend took his suggestion of the Porcini Mushroom pasta dish which had some of the most intense and flavorful sauce I've had in a while. You could definitely taste the difference between fresh homemade pasta and the cheap boxed stuff some places use. I ended up getting the Seafood Risotto which was just to die for. It was jam packed with Calamari, Mussels, Clams, Shrimp and you could definitely taste the truffle with which it's cooked. The ambiance was very relaxed, the music didn't drown the conversation and the place just has a general vibe of a true local's restaurant. The manager Beto passed by our table a few times and he was a delight to talk to, he seemed like a very down to earth guy, very casual, and he treated us to some bruschetta before we ordered our meal. The last thing I always check off is value. The menu, for the ambiance, the quality of food, the attentiveness of service, the a'4mbiance, the modern decour, and the neighborhood, is incredibly economical. A meal like this at a similar place down in South Beach could easily be DOUBLE. This place we'll definitely keep as a great option for our next date night and I'll definitely back for some more of that Risotto. Thanks Juan Carlos and Beto for the attention! Grazie !

I've been here several times for lunch. I usually order one of their specials or a pasta dish. I'm not sure if it's my imagination, but it seems their lunch prices keep going up. Their lunch special, maybe chicken with a side vegetable or pasta, and a coke, costs over $30 with tax and tip. Granted the special comes with soup and a dessert. I think that's expensive for lunch. The service is okay. Servers do what's necessary but don't go out of their way to be helpful. The food is good, but not better than other Italian restaurants that are much more reasonably priced.

I don't think you can have a bad meal here. My husband and I have been here so many times and it's always fabulous. The service is amazing and surprisingly quick. The food is well seasoned. The dishes are well constructed and elegant. This place is such a gem, just a little sad the rest of Miami found out about it and now it's tough to get a table some nights.

I had dinner here with a group of friends that raved about the food. We shared a calamari and zucchini appetizer that was OK. I had the chicken Parmesan and was disappointed as there was no flavor. My wife had spinach pasta and did not care for it. Service was slow. Doubtful that I would return.

Amazing meal! The staff and service was absolutely first class. They were attentive and accommodating, really 5-star. I went with a foodie friend who raves about this place. We ordered the insalata tre colori and the salmone and seabass carpaccio to share as our first course. To my delight the staff kindly divided the salad for each of us and the portions were huge! The salmone & seabass carpaccio were buttery deliciousness. I highly recommend this dish if you enjoy raw fish. The salad was crisp, fresh and presented beautifully. As an entree I selected the Chilean seabass and champagne risotto dish. The fish was cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. The champagne risotto was just as amazing. The portion size was large for my appetite, so I was able to take half of the dish home for lunch the next day. I have to say it was just as delish nuked in the microwave as well. ;-) My friend had the veal chop which nearly toppled the plate. It was huge! I'm not a fan of veal, but I did have a bite and it tasted delicious. Overall, it was a great dining experience. I didn't give it a full 5-stars because the location on a Saturday night is just okay. Kane concourse should revive the area with an art walk or more nightlife. It would've been nice to take a stroll after dinner. I will definitely be going back to Emilio's soon! :)

The only thing making this a 4 instead of a 5 was the way we were strongly invited to take a hike at the end of our meal by Emilio. We had just dropped $400 at our table and apparently, he felt we were lingering a bit too long (by the way, no one was waiting) and very kindly rushed us out. He caught the disdain in my eye right away and kissed my hand as a way to apologize, but I still felt a little upset about it. Honestly, that was the only downfall. We met our couple friend there last Saturday and they are bonafied foodies and picky. They were raving at the end of the meal! We got the caprese salad (nothing special, just what you'd expect) and another salad with goat cheese, which was delicious. We each got our own entree. I had the porcini risotto (excellent!), my husband got the pear and walnut canelloni (freshly made pasta to die for), my girlfriend had the lasagna (just as good as Nonna's, my husbands grandma from Rome) and her boyfriend had some sort of penne which he was going on and on about. We had two bottles of wine and finished up with tiramisu and cappucino. Other than the finale of our meal, the service was impeccable, attentive, but no overbearing and everyone was actually Italian. I'd go back, but maybe on a slower night, so I'm not rushed. You just can't rush handcrafted Italian food-it's meant to be savored!

Opening Night...... It was awesome!!! great food, wines...... all of the great ones... White or red, they were all great... food never stops "opening night" - everything was complementary... Emilio's was serving his guests by himself..... I got there at 7:30pm and leave at 11:00.... completely satisfied. This place will be a "must' excellent environment.... it is the only Italian restaurant in this area... Valet parking only $ 5 ... if you are not willing to pay meters are free after 6 o' clock (if you find one).

I had the cannelloni and it was delicious. It was made with spinach and walnuts with a perfect marinara sauce. Perfect spices and melt on your mouth pasta. I soaked up the sauce with the fresh baked bread. Yum. The service is very friendly. Emilio's uncle waited on us and he was a sweet man and a great waiter. Emilio is extremely friendly and is busy checking on everything, from seating to service to customer satisfaction.

This place is great if you want to grab a nice Italian dinner. The bread first of all is AMAZING probably the best bread I have ever had at a restaurant served hot right out of the oven. For my appetizer I tried the proveleta was very good crispy melted cheese, house salad kind of plain arugula shaved Parmesan, and endive, also the clams orrgenato were very good and tasty. For the entree I recommend the Sea bass it was a special was with fresh artichoke and a creamy risotto was amazing. The parpadale with shrimp also a special the parpadale are homemade and out of this world. I got the seafood linguine lots of fresh seafood but a bit to spicy, and shrimp were very small. For dessert I recommend the zabalogine with strawberries. !

Great, great, great Italian food! You feel like the food is home made, delicious and very fresh. They are very welcoming and friendly. The "specials" as they call them are usually the more expensive plates that are not in the menu, so I am always skeptic when they offer something new, since it's always their way to up-sell. Otherwise, prices are reasonable for a dinner. I usually have the pear/Gorgonzola Ravioli, and it is to die for.

Best Italian food I have eaten since moving to Fl from Boston 9 years ago. Tasted like I was eating in little Italy again. Good service. The restaurant is very small and quaint and packed on a Saturday night, so make reservations. Awesome!!

Had dinner last night on the recommendation of my boss and wow, I cannot say enough about Emilio's. The service from our waiter Franco as well as the other servers was great. Food came out quick and was fantastic. Emilio himself even stopped at our table to make sure everything was good and seemed to know almost everyone that walked in the door. Emilio's is highly recommended and I will certainly be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
